Jim Hines

Jim Hines is a seasoned semiconductor industry analyst and consultant, currently serving as Director of Market Intelligence at GlobalFoundries and Principal at Palo Verde Advisors. With a specialization in automotive and smart mobility technologies since 2011, Jim Hines is dedicated to assisting clients with go-to-market strategies, product positioning, and competitive analysis in areas such as autonomous driving and electric vehicles. Additionally, Jim Hines contributes as a mentor in the Mobility Accelerator Program at Plug and Play Tech Center and is a member of SEMI's Global Automotive Advisory Council. Previous roles include Director of Automotive Research at TechInsights and Research Director at Gartner, where Jim Hines directed research in automotive electronics and photovoltaic solar energy. Hines holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.
