Kristian Andreini has extensive work experience in the field of materials science and engineering. Kristian started their career in 2002 as a Graduate Student at the University at Albany, SUNY, where they worked under the tutelage of Marina A. Petrukhina. Kristian completed their graduate studies in 2005.
In 2006, Kristian joined GE Global Research and held various roles over the years. Kristian started as a Materials Chemist in July 2006 and subsequently became an Efficiency Team Member in January 2012. In 2011, they served as a part of the Next Generation/Go to Market CdTe Team. From October 2008 to December 2010, they worked as a CdTe/CZT Device Fabrication Scientist. Kristian also briefly led the CVD Diamond Growth Task in 2008. Kristian'slast role at GE Global Research was as a Lead Scientist, which they held from April 2014 to January 2017.
Since 2017, Kristian has been working at Plug Power. Kristian initially joined as a Material Scientist in March 2017 and was later promoted to Senior Material Scientist in May 2019. Currently, they hold the position of Manager, Engineering Materials Integration, starting in August 2021.
Throughout their career, Kristian has gained valuable expertise in materials integration, scientific research, and team leadership.
Kristian Andreini began their education at Warwick Valley High School, where they obtained a New York State Regents Diploma from 1992 to 1995. After high school, they attended SUNY Orange from 1996 to 1998 and obtained an Arts and Sciences Degree in 1998, with a focus in Science. Andreini then continued their studies at the University at Albany, SUNY, from 1999 to 2002, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Kristian further pursued their education at the University at Albany, SUNY, from 2002 to 2005, and obtained a Master of Science in Chemistry.
