Kyungyeol Song

Kyungyeol Song is the current Director at Plug Power. Prior to this, they were the Senior Vice President at Energy Solution TF for SK E&S from February 2019 to September 2020. In this role, they were responsible for leading investment and partnership opportunity development for the Group's new energy solution businesses integrating renewable energy, energy storage, and AI/big data.

Before joining SK E&S, Kyungyeol Song spent 11 years at McKinsey & Company, where they served as the Director of McKinsey Energy Center. In this role, they advised various leading Korean/Asian/EU/US players across the energy & power value chains on strategic issues such as entry & growth strategy, investment decision, M&A/JV/partnership deals, etc.

Kyungyeol Song has a wealth of experience in the energy sector, with a deep understanding of the various businesses within the value chain. Kyungyeol is a strategic thinker with the ability to identify and assess opportunities, and develop comprehensive plans to drive growth.

Kyungyeol Song has a Ph.D. in Control and Estimation Theory from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University, and a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from Seoul National University.
