Debankur Biswas

Debankur Biswas is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operations and management within the insurance and banking sectors. Currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Plum since June 2020, Debankur focuses on scaling operations and executing business strategies. Prior roles include Vice President-Business at Plum, where foundational work was done to establish a Customer Success team, and Country Manager for Sri Lanka and CEO of BIMA Lanka Insurance Brokers at MILVIK BIMA, overseeing a portfolio of 2.5 million insurance policies. Debankur also has significant experience from Citibank India, Standard Chartered Bank, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, demonstrating expertise in business development, insurance operations, and project management. Debankur holds an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies at the University of Delhi and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology.
