Plummer Youth Promise
Lydia Carbone possesses extensive experience in non-profit management and community service, serving in various leadership roles since 1984. Currently, Carbone is the Director of Network Support and has held multiple positions at Parenting Journey, Inc., overseeing administrative functions across five program areas in Massachusetts. Contributions as a Permanency Mediator at Plummer Youth Promise and as a freelance writer highlight a diverse skill set in project management and grant writing. Previous positions include Grants Manager at 180 Turning Lives Around, Inc., where Carbone secured an average of $3 million annually through effective fundraising strategies, and Foundation Relations Manager at The Boston Debate League, successfully raising over $1 million in new funding. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Social Work from Rutgers University and a BSW from Kean University.

Young people who leave the foster care or juvenile justice system without safe, stable & permanent family connections face grim outcomes, including high rates of homelessness, unemployment, early parenting and lack of education.
