Piet Hein Bakker

Piet Hein Bakker is a seasoned media executive with extensive experience in television production and format creation. Currently serving as Director General at Plural Entertainment since March 2022, Bakker leads one of the largest production companies in the Iberian peninsula, delivering approximately 600 hours of content annually. Prior to this role, Bakker co-owned SP Entertainment from June 2014 to March 2022, focusing on original entertainment formats and international productions, including Eurovision 2018. Bakker's career also includes positions such as Head of International at SP Televisao, CEO and Co-Founder of Milkyway Formats, Owner of CBV, and Managing Director of Endemol Portugal, where significant contributions were made to popular shows and drama productions. Bakker's professional journey began as a company lawyer at Joop van den Ende Produkties BV, following a law degree specializing in copyright.
