Gavin Marshall

Gavin Marshall has diverse work experience in various roles throughout their career. Gavin is currently working as a Co-Founder and CTO at Plural, where they are focused on solving the problem of decentralized insurance and contributing to the resilience of web3. Prior to this, they founded Hippytech in 2020. Gavin served as an Instructor at Blockchain Academy (Pty) Ltd from 2016 to 2020 and founded sharebit.io during the same period.

Before that, Gavin worked as the VP Product Development at Konga Online Shopping Ltd from 2014 to 2016. Gavin has also held multiple positions at Mxit, starting as a Developer in 2005 and progressing to roles such as Team leader Creative and Technical Presales, Innovation Manager, Head of Innovation, and VP Research and Development. Gavin also has experience as a Mobile Game Developer at Clockspeed Mobile, a Developer (R&D) and Web Developer at Swistgroup Technologies, and as a Developer and Network admin at Hortec.

Gavin Marshall attended Fairbairn High from 1985 to 1989, although they did not obtain a degree or specialize in any specific field of study during their time there. From 1990 to 1993, Gavin pursued their studies in Theology at CEBI, where they obtained a LTh (Bth equivalent) degree.
