Ben Newton

Ben Newton has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Ben is currently the CEO and Cofounder of Pluritem Health, a position they have held since September 2021. Prior to that, they were the Owner of Pluritem Consulting starting from June 2021. Ben also worked as a Mentor in the Venture Asheville Elevate Program, starting in March 2021.

Before joining Pluritem Health and Pluritem Consulting, Ben had a role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as the SaaS Business Lead in the AWS SaaS Factory. Ben was with AWS from September 2020 to June 2021.

From January 2018 to September 2020, Ben worked at Sumo Logic as the Director of DevOps, Observability, and IT Operations Solutions. Prior to that, they held the position of Principal Product Manager with a focus on Observability and IT Operations Solutions from January 2013 to January 2018.

Ben's earlier career includes roles at BMC Software as Senior Manager of Product Marketing and Sales Engineering, BladeLogic as Sales Engineering Manager, and Northrop Grumman as a Senior Systems Architect. Ben also has experience as a Senior Systems Architect at EDS and as a Consulting Engineer at Loudcloud.

Ben Newton received their BA in Physics and Mathematics from Appalachian State University, where they studied from 1993 to 1997. Ben then pursued a Masters degree in Physics and Computer Science at Cornell University from 1997 to 2000. In addition to their academic background, Ben has obtained several certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS), including AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, and AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
