Georg Kuschk

Georg Kuschk, PhD, is an experienced leader in the field of autonomous driving and machine learning, currently serving as Director of Perception at Plus since September 2022. Previously, Kuschk held the position of Senior Engineering Manager in Machine Learning at Cruise, leading a team focused on developing deep learning-based perception algorithms for autonomous vehicles. Prior experience includes leading the Machine Learning Department at ASTYX GmbH, contributing to projects on 3D object detection and sensor fusion, and working as a Specialist in Autonomous Driving at BMW Group. Kuschk's academic background includes a Ph.D. from the Technical University of Munich, specializing in camera-based 3D reconstruction, and a Dipl.-Inf. in Computer Science from Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. Kuschk's professional journey encompasses roles at prominent organizations, including metaio GmbH and the German Aerospace Center, with a strong emphasis on advanced perception technologies and research in autonomous driving systems.
