Senior Vice President, Product Engineering at Plus Company

Phil Austin has a diverse and extensive work experience. Phil is currently serving as the Vice President of Product Engineering at Plus Company since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Data Team Lead/DevOps Architect at Clear Capital from 2022 to 2023. From 2021 to 2022, they held the position of Director of DevOps at Verana Health.

Phil also worked at Marketing Evolution from 2018 to 2021, starting as a Senior DevOps Engineer and later becoming the Principal DevOps Engineer. Before that, they were employed at TRC Healthcare as a Senior DevOps Engineer and DevOps Engineer from 2014 to 2018.

Furthermore, Phil had experience working as a DevOps Engineer at Business Intelligence Associates, Inc. (BIA) from 2011 to 2014. Phil also engaged in freelance Dev and Ops work for various companies from 2000 to 2011.

Additionally, Phil worked as a Systems Engineer + at SmartPlug Systems from 2008 to 2010 and as a Systems Engineer II at Waggener Edstrom Worldwide from 1999 to 2008. Phil started their career as a Lead Dockhand at Elliott Bay Marina from 1993 to 1996.

Phil Austin began their education in 1994 at the University of Washington, where they studied computer science until 1996. In 1997, they attended Strategy Computers and obtained a degree as a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer in Systems Engineering in 1998.

Later, Phil pursued further certifications. In May 2016, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services. Following this, from 2016 to 2019, they attended Linux Academy and earned the AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (Professional) degree. In January 2017, Phil also obtained the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate Level certification from Amazon Web Services.

Continuing their professional development, Phil obtained the Professional Scrum Master I certification from Scrum.org in August 2019.
