Katy Stupica has a diverse range of work experience, primarily in the fitness and wellness industry. Katy began their career in 2010 as a General Manager at Plus One Health Management Inc, where they oversaw facility maintenance and operations, managed payroll and scheduling, and organized employee wellness programs. Katy then moved on to become a Senior General Manager, responsible for two client sites, and later served as an Interim General Manager.
In 2012, Katy joined 24 Hour Fitness as an Assistant Fitness Manager and quickly progressed to Fitness Manager I and eventually Fitness Manager III. In these roles, they excelled in increasing personal training client resign percentages, generating new business revenue, and creating a positive work environment through effective communication and team incentive programs.
Since 2014, Katy has held various roles at Plus One an Optum Company, most recently serving as the Director of Talent Acquisition & Optimization. In this position, they provide day-to-day oversight of a team dedicated to aligning company culture and values with the employee experience. Katy advises the executive leadership team on strategies for hiring, developing, and retaining the workforce. Katy also oversees recruiting, employee training and development, diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, performance management, succession planning, and engagement and retention efforts.
Katy Stupica holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from Ashland University, which they obtained in 2009. In addition, they have obtained certification as a SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM in 2018, TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) certification from Health Communications, Inc. (The TIPS Program) in 2015, and certification as a Personal Trainer from the National Academy of Sports Medicine in April 2009.
