Nate Cahoon

Nate Cahoon has extensive work experience in various roles and companies.

Nate is currently working at Pluto TV as a Senior Platform Product Manager.

Prior to that, they worked at Verizon Digital Media Services, where they held two roles. As a Sr Product Manager, they were responsible for developing requirements and a roadmap for the Multi-DRM and Rights Management product. Nate also worked as a Sr Software Development Engineer, contributing to the development of a highly distributed OTT video streaming platform.

Before joining Verizon, they worked at Premier, Inc in multiple roles. As a Staff Software Engineer/Program Manager, they played a pivotal role in introducing Agile methodologies and was responsible for developing a service pack. Nate also served as a Senior Web Developer/Scrum Master, delivering quality code and contributing to an advanced architecture team.

Nate also has experience as a self-employed web developer, working on freelance ColdFusion development primarily for WCCI. Nate has worked at MedAssets as a Senior Software Engineer, maintaining and developing critical CF and .Net applications. Nate has also worked at McCauley Sound as a Software Developer, responsible for maintaining their website.

Earlier in their career, Nate worked at Lockheed Martin as a Software Developer, managing software baselines for a classified program. Nate also worked at Digital Illumination as a UI Designer, leading a group in creating a web-based application, and at TD Ameritrade as a Web Developer, initially developing flash-based tutorials and later maintaining their website.

Nate Cahoon pursued their education at Brigham Young University from 1995 to 2002, where they obtained a BFA degree in Computer Animation.

In addition to their formal education, Nate also obtained several certifications. In August 2019, they became a Certified Widevine Implementation Partner (CWIP) from Google. In March 2019, they acquired the Certified SAFe 4 Product Owner/Product Manager certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. Furthermore, in September 2011, Nate attained the Certified Scrum Master certification from the Scrum Alliance.
