James E. Lebretton

James E. LeBretton has extensive law enforcement experience, currently serving as Captain of Police Operations at Plymouth Police Department since March 2006, overseeing multiple divisions, including Patrol, Dispatch, Prosecution, Detectives, and Special Operations. James has held various leadership roles within the department, including Captain of Professional Standards, Captain of Administration, and ranks from Lieutenant to Patrolman. Prior to the Plymouth Police Department, James served in the U.S. Coast Guard as a Machinery Technician and Federal Boarding Officer. Academically, James holds a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Curry College, with plans to pursue a certificate program at Harvard University in 2024.
