Laihmen Quan

Laihmen Quan, Ph.D., currently serves as the Continuous Improvement Manager at Plymouth Tube Company, a position held since November 2023. Previously, Laihmen was a Staff R&D Engineer at The Chemours Company from August 2022 to November 2023 and worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Mississippi State University from July 2018 to July 2022, where responsibilities included performing experimental tests on sandstone core samples and instructing in a senior chemical process design laboratory. Laihmen also gained experience as a Quality Engineering Intern at PACCAR Engine Company in 2020 and 2021, providing technical leadership for Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Control Plans. In addition, a brief tenure as a Quality Control Engineer at Merril Especialidades Químicas involved verifying raw material quality. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and a Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, both from Mississippi State University, and a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the same institution, complemented by an Associate's degree in Engineering from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College.
