Garett Franklin

Garett Franklin is an experienced medical professional currently serving as the President of the North Carolina Academy of Family Physicians since January 2023, having previously held the role of President Elect. Since August 2016, Garett Franklin has been a Physician at Raleigh Medical Group and has also held the position of Team Physician at NC State University. Additionally, Garett Franklin has been an Investigator at PMG Research since August 2020 and a Board Member at WakeMed Key Community Care, LLC from July 2019 to December 2021. Previous experience includes completing a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship and serving as a House Officer at Wake Forest Baptist Health from July 2012 to June 2016. Garett Franklin obtained a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from East Carolina University (2008-2012) and holds a Master's degree in Physiology and Bachelor's degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering from North Carolina State University, completing studies from 1998 to 2008.
