Erik Gustafson

Erik Gustafson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in regulatory compliance and project management within the energy sector. Currently serving as the Sr. NERC Regulatory Compliance Project Manager at the Public Service Company of New Mexico since September 2021, Erik manages compliance for multiple NERC CIP standards and facilitates key compliance program processes. Previously, at Evergy, Erik held the role of Senior Configuration Management Specialist, overseeing major incident management and change processes related to NERC CIP. As a Security/Compliance Analyst at Corporate Risk Solutions, Erik developed compliance documentation and conducted security assessments for electric utilities. Erik holds a Master’s degree in English Language and Literature from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor of Arts in English Writing from Colorado State University. Early in their career, Erik imparted knowledge as an English teacher at Rockhurst High School and Let's Go School while obtaining Spanish-language fluency.
