Yuliya Matlashova

Yuliya Matlashova is a Power Operations Engineer at the Public Service Company of New Mexico since March 2021. Previously, Yuliya served as a Graduate Research Assistant at The University of New Mexico, assisting with research and academic support in power systems from January 2019 to December 2020. Prior experience includes a role as a Consulting Utility Forester at Davey Resource Group, where Yuliya conducted environmental assessments and managed electrical transmission right-of-ways, and as a Research Assistant at Los Alamos National Laboratory, focusing on procedure development and chemical monitoring. Early career experience includes being a Resident Assistant at UC Merced, coordinating events for student well-being. Yuliya holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Engineering Technology from the University of California, Merced, a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of New Mexico, and is pursuing a Master's degree in Engineering Management at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
