Andre Odinius

Andre Odinius is the CIO & Board Member at P&O Ferries. Andre has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Andre has held various positions at different companies, most notably Wincanton, Babcock International Group, and Marconi.

At Wincanton, Andre was responsible for the Group IT strategy driving improved TCO. Andre was also responsible for the joint IT and Business Portfolio Planning function, ensuring that high value projects were controlled and delivered as a priority. In addition, they ensured that BI was utilised throughout the organisation to identify improvement and savings opportunities.

At Marconi, Andre was responsible for strategy, architecture, standards and operating and deploying global solutions. Andre created the overall Enterprise Application Architecture with focus on an EAI (now SOA), ERP and Information Management, including associated governance and controls. Furthermore, they created and managed highly effective IT infrastructure and security operations teams in the US and the UK. Additionally, they initiated and managed a major IT in-source / outsource business case benchmarking study as part of cost reduction activities, which lead to outsourcing of key IT functions.

Andre Odinius studied computer science at Swansea University and Oakham Sixthform College.
