Liz Diaz

Liz Diaz has a diverse work experience in the field of law. Liz is currently working as the Director of Legal Affairs at pocket.watch. Prior to this role, Liz held the position of Senior Legal Counsel at Group Nine Media from November 2019 to September 2021. Liz also worked as Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel at POPSUGAR, where they provided legal support in various areas.

Before their time at pocket.watch, Group Nine Media, and POPSUGAR, Liz worked at Whalerock Industries as an Associate Counsel. In this role, they served as counsel for a production company and handled a wide range of legal matters related to scripted and unscripted television, feature films, digital media, websites, podcasts, and consumer products. Liz also oversaw the legal compliance of digital properties, including drafting terms of use, privacy policies, and EULAs.

Prior to Whalerock Industries, Liz worked at Cochran, Davis & Associates, P.C. as an Associate Attorney. Liz'sresponsibilities included spearheading complex civil litigation cases in various areas such as Construction Defect, Media and Entertainment, Directors & Officers' Liability, and Insurance Coverage. Liz also drafted insurance coverage opinions, providing clients with comprehensive analysis.

Liz's earliest work experience was as an Associate Attorney at Coleman & Associates. In this role, they second chaired trials involving high-stakes lawsuits representing government entities against claims of catastrophic injuries and unsafe conditions.

Throughout their career, Liz has demonstrated expertise in providing legal counsel, negotiating agreements, drafting legal documents, and ensuring legal compliance.

Liz Diaz obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Following this, they pursued a J.D. degree in Law from the Chapman University Fowler School of Law, with a completion period from 2006 to 2009.
