Ann Manly has worked in a variety of roles since 2011. In 2011, they were an Intern at Galleria Civico 69, where they were responsible for graphic design projects and marketing, as well as translating artist biographies into English and helping organize events and exhibits with international guests. That same year, they also worked as a Designer at Red Nova Labs, using Adobe Illustrator to create graphics and UI for 5+ websites. In 2012, they were a Lead Interface Designer at ChangeLabs, working with a group of students and professors studying effective interfaces for behavioral change funded by the United States D. O. E. In 2013, they worked as a Creative Intern at G2 Studios Creative Workshop, creating web design mock-ups using Adobe Creative Suite and illustrating storyboards for animation and film commercials. In 2015, they were an Environment and Prop Artist at the Academy of Art Game Development, designing environment and props for a student produced sci-fi virtual reality game. Finally, since 2017, they have been the Art Director and Manager - Highrise at Pocket Worlds, managing a team of 17 artists, developing art style and branding for the product, and working across multiple teams to contribute to product development and live operations in the app.
Ann Manly received their Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Visual Development for Games and Animation from the Academy of Art University in 2016. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Fine and Studio Arts from Stanford University in 2013.
