Jimmy Xu

Jimmy Xu is the Co-founder and CTO of Pocket Worlds, the company behind the popular virtual universe Highrise. With previous experience as a Design Engineer at Apple and a Research Assistant at the University of Washington, Jimmy has a strong background in computer engineering and high-performance computing. As a lecturer and teaching assistant, Jimmy also shares their knowledge in digital logic, VLSI design, and computer architecture. Jimmy holds a PhD in Computer Engineering, an MS in Electrical Engineering with a focus on high-performance computing, and a BS in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in embedded systems.
