David Whiteley

David Whiteley has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. David began their career as a Technology Consultant at Detica in 1992 and then worked as a Strategy Consultant at Corporate Value Associates from 1996 to 2000. David joined Virgin Group in 2000, initially as a Programme Director for their consumer services business and later as a Venture Development member. From 2001 to 2006, David worked at Charteris plc as a Principal, where they focused on IT and business consulting, including bid management and practice strategy. In 2003, they served as a Non-Executive Director at Encraft, a company specializing in renewables and low-carbon buildings. In 2011, David became the Chief Executive of Ethertricity Limited, where they led the integration of cloud technology and initiated the use of mobile-only insurance brokers as their first use case. David then joined The Venturing Firm in 2006 as a Director, providing guidance to founders and innovators in designing and building new ventures. After that, David worked as the COO of Pocket High Street in 2014, a role that they held until 2016 when they became a Founding Partner at SaveTheHighStreet.org. Most recently, they have been serving as the COO of JoinJo.com since 2018. Overall, David Whiteley has accumulated significant experience in strategic consulting, venture development, and leadership positions across various organizations.
