Joe Buchanan

Joe Buchanan has a long and varied work experience, beginning in 1999. Joe started their career as Vice President Corporate Development at EC Markets and EC Foods, a strategic sourcing startup that used reverse auction technology to negotiate large, global, food and packaging contracts. In 2002, Joe founded Leverage Sourcing, a strategic sourcing startup in partnership with a German company called Portum. Joe then went on to become CEO of Foodconnex, Agribuys and CatOne Sourcing, bringing supply chain efficiency to retailers like SuperValu, Safeway and Kroger. In 2004, Joe became Vice President Sales at Revionics, a startup with an innovative price and promotion optimization platform, specifically for food retailers. Joe then moved on to UBS in 2006 as Structured Products Sales, joining a program for experienced executives to transition to Wealth Management offices throughout the US. In 2008, Joe became a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley and then in 2009, they became Managing Director at Buchanan Wealth Advisory. In 2016, Joe founded and joined the Board of Podiim, a startup focused on using daily challenges and rewards to drive engagement with different groups including sales people, employees and product champions. Most recently, in 2019, Joe became Vice President Sales at Sellcrowd, the first gig economy platform for finding and hiring great fractional salespeople. Joe is also currently Founder of FractionL, a new firm launching August 1st that helps small to medium businesses and startups compete with bigger rivals by leveraging the latest in sales technology coupled with the sudden availability of fantastic sales talent.

Joe Buchanan has a well-rounded educational background. Joe began their studies in 1979 at SUNY Oneonta, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry in 1984. Joe then went on to the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they obtained a BS in Chemical Engineering in 1984. Finally, in 1992 they attended the University of San Francisco and obtained a Master of Business Administration - MBA in International Finance in 1995.
