Caroline Ickes Keating has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Caroline currently holds the position of Head of New Partnerships at Podium Education, a role they started in November 2020. Prior to this, Caroline worked at International Studies Abroad (ISA), where they held multiple positions. Caroline served as the Associate Vice President, University Partnerships from September 2018 to November 2020. Before that, they were the Director of Strategic Partnerships from June 2016 to September 2018, the Associate Director of University Relations from April 2014 to June 2016, and the Regional Director from May 2011 to May 2014. Caroline also gained experience at Virginia Tech, where they worked as a Graduate Assistant in the Office of International Education and Development from August 2009 to May 2011. Caroline also had a brief stint as an Assistant English Instructor at Chile Ministerio de Educación from May 2010 to August 2010. Additionally, Caroline interned at the U.S. Department of State as a Public Affairs Intern for the U.S. Mission to the United Nations from May 2008 to August 2008, where they played a role in facilitating U.S. public relations for significant international events.

In 2005, they enrolled at Virginia Tech and completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International/Global Studies & Communication as a double major in 2009. During their undergraduate years, they dedicated one semester to studying abroad at Universidad Pablo de Olavide in 2008, focusing on Hispanic Studies, Business, and Translation. Following their undergraduate studies, Caroline continued their education at Virginia Tech, where they obtained a Master of Public and International Affairs (MPIA) degree with a specialization in Political Economics of South America from 2009 to 2011.
