David Wood

David Wood is an experienced leader in the biofuels and chemical industry with a robust background spanning over two decades. Currently serving as the General Manager at POET since November 2020, David oversees profit and loss responsibilities for a commercial and research facility, focusing on bio-fuel and bio-product operations. Prior roles include Global Product Director at Butamax Advanced Biofuels, LLC, and Chief Operating Officer at Nesika Energy, where David managed grain ethanol production. David's extensive experience at DuPont involved various leadership positions, including Program Leader for the world's largest cellulosic ethanol bio refinery and responsibilities in product management and operations across multiple product lines. David holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
