Liza Kuney is an accomplished poet and educator with a diverse professional background spanning various roles in education, housing administration, and substance abuse counseling. Since April 2015, Liza has served as a poet with notable works such as "Symphony on C," published in the 2016 RAP: Richmond Anthology of Poetry. Prior experience includes roles as Assistant Teacher at Head Start of the East Bay, Director of Housing at Friendship Shelter Inc., and Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Student Activities at Mills College, where Liza implemented innovative student programs and managed various student affairs. Liza has also held positions at California College of the Arts and The University of Vermont, focusing on student life and support initiatives. Liza holds a BA in American Literature and History from Mills College and an MEd in Higher Education Administration from the University of Vermont.
