Jouko Savolainen

Jouko Savolainen is an accomplished professional in the pharmaceutical and health sectors, currently serving as the Director of University Pharmacy at the University of Eastern Finland since February 2012, overseeing over 60 employees and managing a turnover exceeding 15 million Euros with an annual customer base of 300,000. Additionally, Jouko is actively involved in various roles within Pohjois-Savon hyvinvointialue, including membership in the HYTE committee and serving as the first alternate member on the regional council. Previous experience includes significant leadership positions at Fennopharma Ltd as Co-Founder and Managing Director, and at PediPharm Ltd as Managing Director. Jouko's academic background includes a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Kuopio and a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Kentucky, supplemented by an Executive MBA from the University of Kuopio.
