Kamyar Ghandi has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Kamyar began their career as the Founder, Vice President of Engineering, and Principle Investigator at Continuum Control Corporation in 1998. During their time there, they played a key role in securing and managing $2M in DARPA SBIR and Army contracts. In 2000, they co-founded Continuum Photonics Inc and served as the Vice President of R&D. Kamyar led the development of a MEMs based fiber optic switch and was instrumental in raising two rounds of VC financing worth $1.7M and $14M. In 2005, Kamyar joined Polatis Inc as the VP of Research & Development. Kamyar led the post-merger integration of technology platforms and secured $22M in additional VC funding. Kamyar also managed the design and production of next-generation wavelength selective switches. Lastly, in 2008, Kamyar joined Point and Click Solutions as the Chief Technology Officer. Kamyar led the architecture and development of enterprise healthcare software that became a market leader in the college health industry, deployed at 250+ universities. Kamyar also conceptualized and implemented product features and developed an enterprise platform for reporting on healthcare data across multiple facilities.
Kamyar Ghandi pursued their Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Engineering at the University of Toronto from 1988 to 1992. Afterward, they went on to complete their Ph.D. in Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1992 to 1998.
