Lucas Corneliussen is an accomplished avian researcher with extensive field experience in bird studies. Currently serving as an Avian Researcher and Bander at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, Lucas participates in the Samsonvale Bird Project in Queensland, Australia, focusing on cooperative breeding and host-parasite interactions among birds. In addition, Lucas holds roles as a Research Associate for Marin Breeding Bird Atlas II with Point Blue Conservation Science, and as a Founder and Expedition Leader for California Birding Tours, promoting birdwatching across California. Previous experience includes internships with DOF BirdLife and positions with the U.S. Forest Service and Marin Audubon Society. Lucas is actively involved in citizen science through eBird and has pursued academic studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
