Maggie Santangelo

Maggie Santangelo is an experienced marine biologist currently serving as a Staff Biologist at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium since 2021 and a Teacher at Outschool since April 2020. Previous roles include Trainer and Veterinary Assistant at Dolphin Academy Curaçao, Trainer for the Navy Marine Mammal Program at SAIC, and Zoological Aide at Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium. Additional experiences encompass an Undergraduate Research Assistant position at Woodland Park Zoo and an Education and Outreach Intern role at Soundside Marinelife Rescue Center. Maggie Santangelo holds a Bachelor of Science in Ecology, Evolution, and Conservation Biology with a focus on Marine Biology from the University of Washington.
