Brian Blackwell

Brian Blackwell has over 25 years of experience working in the healthcare industry. Brian started their career at MEDITECH in 1998, where they held various roles, including Supervisor and Implementation Manager. In these positions, they managed resources and oversaw the implementation process of the MEDITECH 6.0 platform in the acute hospital environment.

In 2012, Brian became a Manager at MEDITECH, leading a group dedicated to supporting large IDN customers using MEDITECH 6x software. Brian was responsible for code management, critical issue tracking, and development design for customization.

From 2014 to 2016, Brian served as the Manager of Strategic Project Management at MEDITECH, where they established and implemented project management protocols for strategic projects using PMBOK and agile methodologies.

In 2016, Brian joined Steward Health Care as the Senior Director of Clinical Applications. Brian later became the Senior Director of Decision Services, where they played a key role in defining a new corporate structure for local support delivery, resulting in decreased operational and capital expenses.

Most recently, Brian started working at Point32Health in 2023 as the Director of Portfolio Management.

Brian Blackwell's education history includes an MA in Psychology from Assumption University, which they obtained from 1990 to 1997. In 2015, they also earned a certificate in Project Management from Bryant University.
