Amit Basu

Amit Basu currently serves as the Head of Macro Middle Office Tech at Point72, a position held since January 2024. Prior to this role, Amit Basu was the Head of Solutions Architecture and Delivery at a Large Global Hedge Fund from 2003 to December 2023. Amit Basu's earlier career includes consulting roles at Lehman Brothers, Merrill Lynch, New York Life Insurance Company, J.P. Morgan, and IBM, with significant contributions such as leading the development of the SoftDollar Trading system. Amit Basu began the professional journey at Wipro Systems as a Systems Manager. Amit Basu holds a Master of Computer Applications degree from the Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, and a Graduate Certification in Project Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.
