Yi Sun

Yi Sun is an accomplished data science professional with extensive experience in alternative data research at Point72 since May 2018. Previously, Yi served as an analyst at Willis Towers Watson, focusing on data analytics, risk management, and actuarial science from August 2016 to April 2018. Yi's early career included a research internship at the National University of Singapore's Risk Management Institute and roles as a teaching assistant and research assistant at the same institution. Yi also completed a summer internship at China Taiping Asset Management Co. in June 2014. Academically, Yi Sun is pursuing a Master's Degree in Financial Engineering at the University of California, Berkeley, and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Mathematics from the National University of Singapore, complemented by an exchange program in Mathematics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Additional qualifications include certifications from the CFA Institute and the SOA/CAS.
