Brent Barker

Brent Barker has a significant amount of work experience in software engineering and testing. Brent'smost recent position is as a Principal Software Engineer in Test at Collective Medical, a PointClickCare company, which they started in January 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer in Test at the same company from January 2019 to January 2022, and as a Software Engineer in Test from March 2017 to January 2019.

Before joining Collective Medical, Brent worked at NCR Corporation as a Software Quality Engineer II from July 2016 to March 2017. Brent also has experience at Partnet, Inc. where they worked as a Software Engineer in Test from December 2012 to April 2016. During their time at Partnet, they undertook various responsibilities including developing an Android demo app, implementing pact tests for microservice containers, and front-end development using AngularJs, Bootstrap, Less, Bower, Grunt, and npm. Brent also contributed to the development of a mobile app called Crongle using Cordova, and was the core author and developer of SeAuto, a bridge to Selenium from java test frameworks. Brent wrote automated tests using JBehave, Java, and Selenium.

Earlier in their career, Brent worked as a QA Engineer at Cymphonix from June 2009 to October 2010. There, they created and executed test cases and wrote Selenium automated tests using Perl.

Brent Barker obtained an Associate of Science in Computer Science from Salt Lake Community College in 2013-2014. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science at Weber State University from 2015-2016.
