Cindy Plunkett

Cindy Plunkett, MET, Ph.D. has extensive experience in the field of education and learning technology. Cindy has held various leadership roles, including Director of Talent Development & HR Technology at PointClickCare, where they were responsible for implementing and maintaining learning programs. Cindy also served as the Executive Director of Administration & Finance at the Canadian eLearning Conference, where they led the planning and coordination of the conference. Additionally, Dr. Plunkett worked as a Part-Time Professor at the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, teaching a course on financial management of online learning. Cindy has also held roles at Baycrest and the Centre for Aging and Brain Health Innovation (CABHI), where they focused on implementing eLearning and educational technologies. Dr. Plunkett has been involved in educational technology in the healthcare field, teaching courses and managing eLearning projects at Mount Sinai Hospital and the University Health Network. Prior to their work in education, they had technical support experience at Amdocs/Solect. Overall, Dr. Plunkett has a diverse background in education, technology, and project management, with a focus on enhancing teaching and learning through the integration of innovative educational technologies.

Cindy Plunkett, MET, Ph.D. has a diverse education history. Cindy obtained their Ph.D. in Education, specializing in Online Learning, from Northcentral University in 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Masters in Educational Technologies at The University of British Columbia from 2008 to 2011. Cindy also holds a Bachelors of Education degree in Primary Integrated Program from The University of British Columbia, which they earned from 1997 to 1998. Moreover, they pursued a Teaching and Training Adults degree at Durham College in 2006, and a Certificate in Records Management Fundamentals at the University of Toronto in 2004. Cindy'seducation journey began with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) Honours in English from Nipissing University, which they obtained from 1991 to 1996. In addition to their extensive education, Cindy has obtained certifications in various areas such as CCL Assessment Certification, Everything DiSC® Certification, Collaborative meetings, Smartsheet Essential Training, and Social and Behavioral Educational (SBE).
