Jacob Garland

Jacob Garland has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 1997 as an IT Support Analyst at Gridnet, an MCI WorldCom Company. Jacob then moved on to become a Contract Web Developer at Georgia System Operations Corporation in 2000, followed by a Web Applications Developer at Alere Inc. the same year. In 2002, they took on the role of Software Engineer at Firstwave Technologies. In 2006, they joined Nexidia as a Senior Software Engineer, where they eventually became the Director of Software Engineering for the Media & Entertainment business unit. In 2016, they were Sr Manager of Engineering, Speech Technologies & Playback at Avid Technology, and in 2018 they became Chief Technology Officer and VP of Software Engineering at Pointivo.

Jacob Garland is currently a student at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they are studying Computer Science. Jacob also holds a FAA Part 107 Certified Commercial UAV (Drone) Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration.
