Serge Thibault

VP, Information Security at Poka

Serge Thibault is the Vice President of Information Security at Poka. Serge has over 20 years of experience in the IT field, with a focus on security architecture and integration.

Serge began their career as a software developer, before moving into management and consulting roles. In 2011, they became a security architect for the Agence de la santé et des services sociaux de la Capitale-Nationale, where they were responsible for integrating new security solutions into the agency's existing systems.

In 2012, Serge moved to the CSSS Jardins-Roussillon, where they served as an architect for their information systems consolidation strategy. Serge also developed an integration strategy for the Québec immunization registry, and architected a context management and SSO solution (based on SAML). Additionally, they performed an obsolescence risk assessment of all the MSSS information systems, and identified the best strategies for the replacements or upgrades of several key MSSS information systems.

In 2015, Serge joined Poka as the Vice President of Information Security. In this role, they are responsible for Poka's overall security strategy, including data protection, incident response, and disaster recovery. Serge has also helped Poka save millions of dollars through their work on a tool-assisted code conversion strategy for a legacy VB6 application (> 900K LOC).

Serge Thibault has a degree in computer engineering from Université Laval and a certification from (ISC)² in CISSP. Serge has also attended Cabano.
