Emily Lewis has a solid work history, starting in 2010 as an Assistant English Language Teacher for the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program (JET) until 2011. Emily then worked as a Corporate Recruiter for Bridge Consulting Group from November 2011 to April 2012, before joining The Pokémon Company International. At The Pokémon Company, they held two roles, starting as a Media and Publishing Project Manager from April 2012 to April 2015, and then transitioning to a Senior Brand Program Manager from April 2015 onwards.

Emily Lewis began their education at the Seattle Japanese School, where they studied Japanese from 1992 to 2002. Following this, from 2005 to 2008, they attended the Washington State University - Edward R. Murrow College of Communication. There, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Communication with a focus on Journalism.
