Javier Ortiz Carrillo

Javier Ortiz Carrillo has extensive experience in mobile app localization and linguistic quality assurance, currently serving as a Mobile Apps Localization Specialist III at The Pokémon Company International since November 2019, where responsibilities include translation, proofreading, editing, and testing for various Pokémon-related mobile projects. Previously, positions at Electronic Arts involved language testing and quality checking for prominent video games such as Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and FIFA series among others. Javier has also held roles in localization QA with Keywords Studios, and earlier positions included audio transcription proofreading and customer service at retail stores. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Language Interpretation and Translation from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, complemented by international language courses and exchange programs in German, Japanese, and other languages.
