Ben Fuchs

Chief Engineer at Polaris Industries

Ben Fuchs has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Ben started their career at Cummins Power Generation in 2004, where they worked as a Controls Engineer Intern. Ben then moved up to the role of Power Electronics Controls Engineer, where they supported various projects and even served as a Technical Project Leader. Ben's work at Cummins involved designing and developing control systems for fuel cells, generators, engines, and thermal systems. Ben also gained experience in hardware and software design.

In 2015, Ben joined Polaris Inc. as an Electrical Engineering Supervisor. In this role, they led and managed a team of electrical engineers, overseeing the development of controllers for all product lines of Polaris vehicles. Ben also played a major role in designing and implementing the electrical product development process. After two years, Ben was promoted to Electrical Engineering Manager, where they continued to lead and manage a larger team of controls engineers and technicians. Ben was responsible for developing and testing ECU controllers for Polaris vehicles and implemented control systems engineering processes and tools to improve product development.

Currently, Ben holds the position of Chief Engineer at Polaris Inc. In this role, they continue to lead and manage a team while also being responsible for the department budget.

Ben Fuchs earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Minnesota, where they studied from 2001 to 2005. Ben then pursued higher education and completed an MBA in Entrepreneurship from the University of St. Thomas - Opus College of Business, graduating in 2011.
