Kateri Carmola, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Kateri currently serves as a Veteran Human Trafficking Hotline Advocate at Polaris, formerly known as the Polaris Project, since April 2019. Kateri joined Crowell & Moring LLP in July 2017 as an Independent Fact Finder. Prior to this, they worked as an Independent Consultant at Chaintegrity starting from April 2017.

In the past, Kateri held the position of Chief Operations Officer and Lead Auditor at MSS Global Ltd, a UKAS Accredited Certification Body. From September 2013 to April 2019, they led their own company, Carmola Consulting Group LLC, as Director.

Earlier in their career, they served as an Associate Professor of Political Science at Middlebury College from 2001 to 2011. Before that, they were a Post-doctoral Fellow at the University of California, Berkeley, from 1999 to 2001.

Kateri Carmola, PhD, obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in History and Philosophy from the University of Chicago in 1988. Kateri then went on to pursue their Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of California, Berkeley, completing their doctoral studies in 1999. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Advanced Security in the Field and Basic Security in the Field from the United Nations, although specific details regarding the month and year of certification are not provided.
