Monica Krebs has extensive experience in managing operations and data within the field of human trafficking and victim assistance. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Data and Operations at Polaris, Monica oversees the National Hotline’s 24/7 operations and leads improvements in technology and employee experiences. Prior roles include Senior Manager of Data and Quality Improvement and Case Response Specialist, where Monica focused on quality programs and corporate partnerships to enhance services for trafficking survivors. Monica's career began with roles as a hotline advocate and coordinator of various community initiatives. Academic qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Women's and Gender Studies from Towson University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and International Leadership Studies from Marietta College.

Named after the North Star, an historical symbol of freedom, Polaris is leading a survivor-centered, justice- and equity-driven movement to end human trafficking. Since 2007, Polaris has operated the U.S. National Human Trafficking Hotline, connecting victims and survivors to support and services, and helping communities hold traffickers accountable. Through that work, Polaris has built the largest known dataset on human trafficking in North America. The data and expertise gained from two decades of working on trafficking situations in real time informs strategies that hold traffickers accountable, support survivors on their healing journeys and address the vulnerabilities that enable the business of stealing freedom for profit.
