Computational Chemist at POLARISqb

Santiago Vilar is a seasoned computational chemist with expertise in computational drug discovery and design, currently employed at POLARISqb since 2021. Previously, Vilar held positions as a research associate at the University of Miami, focusing on drug discovery and the PH regulation of G protein-coupled receptors, and as a computational scientist at Truvitech LLC, where pharmacological targets were discovered through machine learning and biochemical profiling. Additional experience includes serving as an associate scientist at the University of Santiago de Compostela, a research scientist at Columbia University Medical Center, and a research scientist/postdoctoral fellow at the National Institutes of Health, where cheminformatics and molecular modeling were central to the research. Vilar holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Modeling and Bioinformatics and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from the University of Santiago de Compostela.
