Dr. Rolando Hess

Dr. Rolando Hess has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Dr. Rolando has held various positions at Alcatel-Lucent, including Global Account Director, VP Global Government and Public Affairs, and Director of Global IT and Finance Transformation. Dr. Rolando has also served as the Chief Operating Officer at Spaeter Group and President of the Board at a management consulting firm. Additionally, Dr. Hess has worked at Polariton Technologies as the VP of Sales and Business Development. Dr. Rolando has also held roles at Credit Suisse, the European Commission, and ETH Zurich. Dr. Hess has experience in sales, business development, strategy, government relations, change management, and consulting.

Dr. Rolando Hess has a diverse education history. Dr. Rolando attended the ESCP Business School and European University Institute in 2010-2011, where they studied entrepreneurship and competition law, respectively. In 2007-2008, they pursued a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) degree from the CFA Institute, focusing on finance. Dr. Hess obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics & Physics from ETH Zürich during 1992-1998, following their Master's degree in Mathematics and Physics from the same institution during 1986-1990. Dr. Rolando also holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree from ETH Zürich, specializing in Mathematics, Physics, Biophysics, and IT, which they earned in 1986. Prior to these degrees, Dr. Hess completed their education at the University of Zurich and Liceo Scientifico Locarno in 1985 and 1982, respectively.
