Lorena Arellano

Lorena Arellano is an experienced professional with a strong background in procurement, sustainability, and project development. Currently serving as an R&D and Design Buyer at Polestar since May 2021, Lorena specializes in indirect purchasing across various sectors, including marketing and IT. Prior experience includes a role as Sustainability Coordinator at Volvo Group, focusing on supplier compliance and sustainability assessments, as well as a consultancy position at the United Nations OCHA, where support was provided for developing protective strategies in Central America. Earlier roles at Transfuel Group and Pronobis Ecuador included project development in maritime transport and financial control in the real estate sector, respectively. Lorena holds a Master's degree in Environmental Studies and Sustainability Science from Lund University and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral.
