Matthew Picton

Matthew Picton is an experienced automotive engineer with a robust background in chassis systems and vehicle dynamics. Currently serving as Head of Chassis Systems at Polestar since May 2019, Matthew has significantly expanded the team and oversees various critical components including brakes and suspension. Previous roles include leadership positions in Driven Attributes and consulting for Integryn Ltd. and Emerald Automotive, focusing on electric vehicle programs. Matthew has also contributed to projects at Ricardo, ADV Manufacturing, MIRA Ltd., Cosworth, Ilmor Engineering, and Mitsubishi Motors Motorsport, showcasing expertise in engineering design, validation, and development across both commercial and motorsport applications. Matthew holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Automotive Engineering from Loughborough University.
