Tom Dowd

Tom Dowd is a skilled cybersecurity professional with a strong background in operations and incident response. Currently serving as an NMC Cyber Development Operations Engineer at Police Digital Service since November 2022, Tom is tasked with configuring and maintaining SIEM technology platforms to support security operations within the National Management Center. Previously, Tom held the position of Cyber Security Technical Lead at BT from August 2020 to November 2022, contributing to the Cyber Security protection facility for Police Forces in England and Wales. Early experience includes working as an Information Technology Support Technician at Jones Window Systems Ltd, where responsibilities included maintaining the company network and implementing new hardware and software. Tom holds a Master of Science degree with distinction in Cyber Security and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Forensics, both from Liverpool John Moores University.
