Jarmo Houtsonen

Jarmo Houtsonen is a senior researcher at Poliisiammattikorkeakoulu - Police University College since January 2011, focusing on policing and internal security, and previously managed development processes and project portfolios from 2013 to 2019. Prior to this role, Jarmo served as a university lecturer and researcher at the University of Eastern Finland from August 2004 to December 2010, engaging in significant research projects including EU FP6 initiatives and studies funded by the Finnish Academy. Jarmo holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Sociology from the University of Eastern Finland, with additional academic experience at the University of Wisconsin-Madison during 1994-1995.
