Piotr Szczęsny

Piotr Szczęsny has over 20 years of work experience in the field of IT security and administration. Piotr started their career in 1993 as an Information Technology Specialist at Ośrodek Informatyki Urzędu Wojewódzkiego w Częstochowie and held various roles until 2000. From 1998 to 2000, they also worked as a Network and System Administrator at Agora S.A. In 2000, they joined PWPW S.A., where they progressed through different roles, including IT Security Administrator, IT Security Team Manager, Deputy Head of IT Department and Head of IT Security Department. Piotr then became the Head of IT and OT Security Department in 2016. Additionally, they were the Owner of COBIT from 1998 to 2009. Piotr Szczęsny has a diverse range of skills, including programming, system and application administration, and instructing.

Piotr Szczęsny completed their education in several institutions and fields of study. From 1984 to 1989, they studied at TZN Częstochowa, where they obtained a Technician degree in electronic and electrical industrial automation. After that, from 1989 to 1994, they attended Politechnika Częstochowska, where they earned a Master of Science degree in electrical engineering. During their time at Politechnika Częstochowska, they also pursued studies in IT and received a Computer Scientist degree in 1993. In 2003 and 2004, Piotr enrolled in postgraduate studies at Warsaw University of Technology, specializing in IT Security and Quality Management.

Additionally, Piotr obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2007, they received the ITILv2 Foundation certification from EXIN. A year later, in 2008, they obtained the ITILv3 Foundation certification, also from EXIN. Lastly, in December 2014, they achieved the PRINCE2 Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
