Charlie Cooper

Charlie Cooper is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in political reporting and media management. Currently serving as the Senior UK Energy & Climate Correspondent at POLITICO Europe since September 2022, Charlie has a strong background with previous roles at the same organization, including Chief UK Correspondent, Brexit Correspondent, and U.K. Political Correspondent from September 2016 to March 2021. Prior to this, Charlie worked as a Media Manager at Fauna & Flora International from March 2021 to June 2022, and before that, held various positions at The Independent from August 2011 to July 2016, including Whitehall Correspondent and Health Correspondent. Educational qualifications include a Master of Arts in Journalism from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Leeds.
